Eye Prescriptions
Accurate prescriptions for glasses and contact lenses — from a licensed therapeutic optometrist your family can trust.
Your Prescription Starts With a Comprehensive Eye Exam
An accurate eye prescription comes from a thorough clinical exam — not a quick vision screening. Our optometrists evaluate your full visual system, checking for refractive errors, early signs of eye disease, and conditions that affect long-term eye health.
- Review of your medical history and current vision concerns
- Full evaluation of ocular health — including glaucoma and retinal screening
- Testing for nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism
- Dry eye evaluation and contact lens suitability assessment
- Prescription issued for glasses, contact lenses, or both at the same visit
Prescription valid for 1 year. Most adults should schedule an exam annually — even when vision feels unchanged. Early detection of eye disease often starts here.

After your comprehensive eye exam, we issue accurate prescriptions for a full range of vision correction needs — for patients of all ages across The Woodlands, Willowbrook, and Conroe.
We prescribe corrective lenses for nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, and presbyopia. Your prescription is issued after a full refraction test — and our optical dispensary carries a wide selection of designer frames so you can fill it the same day.
Contact lens prescriptions require a separate fitting evaluation beyond your glasses prescription. We fit patients for daily, monthly, toric, and multifocal lenses — including specialty lenses for patients with dry eye or irregular corneas who struggle with standard contacts.
We provide prescription management for children starting at age five, as well as co-management of refractive and cataract surgery with surgical specialists. Patients with complex eye conditions receive personalized care — not a one-size-fits-all approach.
All three locations accept most vision and medical insurance plans.

Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the most common questions from patients across The Woodlands, Willowbrook, and Conroe.
Most adults should have their prescription reviewed every one to two years. Patients with active eye conditions, diabetes, or rapidly changing vision may need more frequent exams. Your optometrist will recommend a schedule based on your specific situation — even if your vision feels unchanged, annual exams can catch early signs of eye disease before symptoms appear.
Yes. In most cases, both prescriptions can be issued at the same appointment. A contact lens prescription requires a brief additional fitting evaluation beyond the standard refraction test — particularly for patients new to contacts or switching lens types. We make every effort to complete both during a single visit.
Yes. We regularly fit patients managing dry eye for contact lenses. This may include specialty lenses designed for low-moisture tolerance , a modified wearing schedule, or a combination of dry eye treatment alongside lens wear. We do not take a one-size-fits-all approach — your comfort and eye health come first.
Yes. We see children starting at age five for comprehensive eye exams and prescription management. Early detection of vision problems is critical for healthy visual development and academic performance. Our team is experienced with pediatric patients and works to make every visit comfortable and stress-free.
Yes. We accept most vision and medical insurance plans. If you are unsure whether your plan is accepted, call your nearest location before your appointment and we can confirm your coverage over the phone. We also see patients without insurance and can discuss self-pay options.
